News nybble: Wi-Fi Sheep AMCOG Games special – now on YouTube

Sunday evenings usually sees a Wi-Fi Sheep ‘8 ’till Late’ program broadcast on Twitch, and the 5th May program was an AMCOG Games special. News nybble: AMCOG Development Kit version 1.08 now available

The AMCOG Development Kit, designed to make it much easier to write games for RISC OS computers in BBC BASIC, has been updated. The new version is available to download from !Store by existing customers. Version 1.08 brings with it an extended library, including procedures from AMCOG’s Island of the Undead and Stunt Drivers games, the addition of three new example programs, the latest version of RDSP, and more.

AMCOG Games to visit users in the Midlands this Saturday

The Midlands User Group (MUG) will next meet on Saturday, 17th November, and their guest speaker will be Tony Bartram of AMCOG Games. Tony only became a RISC OS user a few years ago, released his first game for the platform in 2015. Since then he has built up quite a catalogue of titles, covering several different genres, with the latest addition being a top-down racing game called Stunt Drivers.

AMCOG Development Kit updated

Hot on the heels of a new release of Cyborg, which was written using the AMCOG Development Kit, AMCOG Games has released an updated version of the Kit itself, with version 1.03 having been made available yesterday. The aim of the package is to make it simpler for people to get into writing games for RISC OS, using BBC BASIC.
